PhotoHunt - nautical

2005 in Southampton, England
Trafalgar 200 years -anniversary
The beautiful black and white ship with golden ornaments is my "darling".
I've had a large puzzle with a picture of it out on the seas for years framed on my wall.
Then we saw this ship in Halifax, Nova Scotia
when The Tall Ships Race came there one year, but just on the day we had to leave.
Then I actually got to touch here too =) and admire closely,
and here we met again some years later in England.
Such a beautiful ship. My favorite.
Now I'm looking forward to seing the Tall Ships in Turku this summer.

I can imagine what a beautiful sight it will be with all of them out to sea with their sails swaying with the wind :)

Härlig bild Brita! :)

I love the tall ships myself. A couple of them come up the Columbia River every year and dock not far from my work place. Pretty spectacular.

Those are beautiful shots of the ships and it's understandable why the black and white one would be a favorite. Beautiful. Thanks for visiting us at Snap2Day. We both appreciated it. I can't sign in here with Snap2 which is why that doesn't show up.

What wonderful ships. I was thinking how many sailors are needed to reef a full set of sails including the topgallants and the royals! Happy weekend...

Hello Brita, I've been to Turku last summer and love the place. It's great to know you will be going there and seeing those tall ships in such a picturesque place. I did see some ships in Turku during our visit but they were mostly floating restaurants. :D

Thanks for dropping by via Photohunt!
