unfortunately I'm not very good with the names of Orchids, or any other flowers for that matter, my uncle is the master in that field.

Me either, but you have done a masterful job of staging the shot, the green against the white helps draw out the delicate yellow hues.
I love orchids too - and these are beauties! I love their strong features, yet they are so light and soft! Great picture!
